Fairy Lake is one of the interesting and little-known destinations in Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh. Located in an area with many islands and rich caves, the lake is surrounded by majestic limestone mountains, creating a peaceful and beautiful scene.

The formation of Fairy Lake is the result of seawater erosion into the cracks of limestone mountains. After the seawater receded, the cracks of the limestone mountains were eroded by seawater, creating holes. Along with that, fresh water from the crevices in the cave filled these holes, creating a beautiful freshwater lake.

According to legend, this is a such beautiful place, where beautiful fairies often come down to swim and enjoy the cool water of the lake. Therefore, people named it Fairy Lake.

In fact, Fairy Lake has another name, Fairy Lake & Cave. The reason for this name is because there is a cave system here, including a path through the cave leading to a saltwater lake in the middle of the mountain.
