In the heart of Ha Long Bay heritage, Ti Top Island stands out with its crescent-shaped white sand beach embracing the foot of the island and its clear emerald green water all year round. But what makes this place even more special is not only its natural beauty – but also its historical story associated with a touching international friendship.

On November 22, 1962, President Ho Chi Minh and Soviet astronaut hero Gherman Titov visited this island. Out of affection for his friend from afar, Uncle Ho named the island Ti Top, as a symbol of the sacred Vietnam – Soviet friendship.

Since then, Ti Top has not only been a beautiful island, but also a place that preserves historical memories, friendship and peace.

In 1997, Gherman Titov returned to visit the island and wrote his emotional words: “I thank God for giving me the opportunity to return to this island.”
In 2015, the Gherman Titov monument was solemnly inaugurated right on the island – a reminder of a friendship across the ocean.

Today, visitors to Ti Top can:
Climb 400 stone steps to the top of the mountain, admire the panoramic view of Ha Long Bay from the “roof of the heritage”.
Swim at one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches in the bay.
Take photos at the monument commemorating the historic visit of Uncle Ho and astronaut Titov.
Thanks to thorough investment, preserving the original landscape and promoting historical values, Ti Top Island is increasingly spacious, attracting thousands of visitors every day – becoming one of the must-see destinations in Ha Long Bay!
